When my LYS closed about 2 years ago I was in need of some sort of connection to the knitting community again. And that it when I stumbled on a knitting group for the elderly in my local library. This is where I met Hans, a 76 year old man who only knits socks for charity. Hans shared his love for knitting socks with me and so this pattern is named after the amazing name his husband gave him when they married.

Dear Hans, you gave me a new friend, thank you!

The Valenti Socks feature a braided cable that runs from the cuff all the way down to the toe. Working only 2 cable rounds in an 8 round repeat this is a perfect pattern for the beginner knitter when it comes to knitting cables.
