The Vaquita is the second most endangered cetacean in the world (after the Yangtze River Dolphin, which as of the publication of this pattern is considered functionally extinct). At the time this pattern was published, there were estimated to be only a dozen or so Vaquita living in the wild. These petite dolphins live in a very restricted area off the coast of Mexico. Their numbers have plummeted due to habitat destruction and fishing bycatch. The 4.5 foot, 120 pound Vaquita is the smallest cetacean in the world.

Part of the proceeds from all patterns sold will go to Vaquita conservation groups.

The Pattern includes instructions for an adult and a calf Vaquita. The 33 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style adult Vaquita and a Vaquita calf. PLUS there is a 12 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Vaquita using worsted weight yarn.

Recommended for ADVANCED BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary).
