The varsity hat is a basic stockinette hat knit in the round with a 1 x 1 rib fold-over brim. The sample was knit with Sport weight “I love this yarn” in white, orange and navy, the University of Virginia colors.

Yarn - 3 skeins of sport weight yarn - 50 grams each

Needles - US size 4 16” circular
US size 5 16” circular
US size 5 double pointed needles

Notions - 1 stitch marker

Size - M/L Adult (head measured 22.5” with 2.5” of negative ease)

Gauge - 5 st per inch
