Velia Scarf is a modern scarf knitting pattern available in three sizes, featuring a straightforward construction and subtle texture. Quick to knit and easy to style, it’s a perfect project for any season.

The scarf is symmetrical and worked flat from one tip to the other. Work the edges in I-cord as shown in the charts.

RECOMMENDED YARN

• 25 (50, 75) g Lamana Como (25 g = 120 m (131 yd), 100% merino wool)
• 25 (50, 75) g Lamana Como Cashmere (25 g = 120 m (131 yd), 70% merino wool, 30% cashmere)
• 20 (20, 40) g Lamana Roma (20 g = 160 m (175 yd), 80% cashmere, 20% silk)
• 25 (25, 50) g Lamana Milano (25 g = 180 m (197 yd), 90% merino wool, 10% cashmere) held together with 25 (25, 25) g Lamana Premia (25 g = 300 m (328 yd), 60% mohair, 40% silk)

For Lamana Como, Como Cashmere, and Roma, work with a single strand. For Lamana Milano and Premia, hold the yarns together throughout.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS

• 3 mm (US 2.5) needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge (use your preferred type of needles)
• tapestry needle
• tape measure
• blocking pins and blocking mat

GAUGE:

The following gauge was measured in quilted stitch worked flat using 3 mm (US 2.5) needles:

• before blocking: 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) = 28 sts × 44 rows
• after blocking: 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) = 28 sts × 38 rows

Please note that the suggested needle size is only a starting point for achieving the correct gauge.
