The word ‘verso’ is a Finnish word which means a sprout of a plant. The name for the beanie came out of love for Spring, which symbolizes the beginning of life to me. When I see sprouts on the ground as nature is starting to bloom - it brings me so much joy! When it comes to outwear on a chilly day in Spring or Finnish Summer nights the Verso Beanie keeps you going and most definitely warm.

The Verso Beanie is knitted from bottom to top with a sport weight and lace weight yarns held together. The beanie is knitted in ribbing using combination knitting technique and has a triple-folded brim. The silk mohair yarn combined with sport weight non-superwashed wool makes the beanie warm, soft and squishy for chilly summer nights or cold winter days in the Northern Hemisphere.

The finished beanie has a circumference of 43 (46) 48.5 cm / 17 (18) 19 inches and is worn with negative ease of 6–14 cm / 1.5–5.5”. This hat stretchy, and will fit a range of head sizes.

Circumference around the beanie is to fit head sizes of Ø 49–53 (54–58) 59–62 cm / 19.25–20.75, (21.25-22.75) 23.25–24.5 inches.

2 balls of Retrosaria Vovo (100% Portuguese wool, 143 m per 50 g) in the colourway 21 or approxiamtely 255 (265) 280 m / 279 (290) 306 yds of sport weight yarn and

1 skein of nurja mohair (72% mohair, 28% silk, 420 m per 50 g) in the colourway ternivuokko or approxiamtely 255 (265) 280 of lace weight yarn
