DESCRIPTION

The Very Basic Sweater features a clean, minimalistic design with a relaxed, oversized fit. Knitted in smooth stockinette stitch, it showcases an even texture that highlights the softness and drape of the yarn.
The sweater has a classic crew neckline, dropped shoulders, and long sleeves finished with neat ribbed cuffs. The back is designed to be slightly longer, creating a curved hem. The upper part of the sleeves feature a seam line, that can be worked optionally.
It is worked top down starting with the neck ribbing, followed by a few rounds of double knitting. Next the shoulders, the back and the neck are formed by working short rows and increases at the same time until the desired width is reached. Then the front and back parts are worked separately until the stitches are gathered under the arms to knit in rounds to the desired length of the sweater. The sleeves are worked in rounds by picking up stitches along the armholes and then finished with 1:1 ribbing.
