The purse/pencil case is knitted in the round on circular needles using the woven stitch technique in a twill pattern that resembles herringbone. The magic loop technique is used, and the piece is cast on with an invisible cast-on. Tabs in double knitting are worked at each end, and finally, a zipper is sewn in place using needle and thread. The lining is then sewn (either by machine or by hand) and mounted inside the purse/pencil case. The pattern also includes
sewing instructions for the lining.

Sizes: Small (big) pencil case.

Finished measurements: Small: 15 x 10 cm, big: 20 x 13,5 cm, pencil case: 20 x 8 cm.

Gauge: 34 stitches x 36 rows in slip stitch pattern on 3.0 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.

Suggested needles: Circular needles size 3.0 mm (80-100 cm) and circular needles size 2.5 mm (80 cm) for bind off and for tabs. Alternatively, you can use a double-pointed needle (DPN) size 2.5
mm for bind off and for tabs.

Suggested yarn: Approx. 18 (33) 25 g silk merino (100 g = 400 m) held together with approx. 8 (16) 12 g handdyed silk mohair (50 g = 420 m). Knit with double strands.

Zippers: 15 (20) 20 cm.

Fabric Lining: Approx. 17 x 22 (22 x 29) 22 x 18 cm.

Violetta Purse strikkes rundt på rundpind i vævestrik med et twillmønster, der ligner sildeben. Der anvendes magic loop-teknik, og der slåes op med usynligt opslag. Der strikkes snipper i dobbeltstrik i hver ende og til sidst sys lynlåsen fast med nål og tråd. Herefter sys for (på maskine eller i hånden), som efterfølgende monteres ind i pursen/penalhuset. Størrelser: Lille (stor) penalhus

Færdige mål: Lille: 15 x 10 cm, stor: 20 x 13,5 cm, penalhus: 20 x 8 cm.

Strikkefasthed: 34 masker x 36 pinde i vævestrik på pind 3,0 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Vejledende pinde: Rundpind 3,0 mm (80-100 cm) og rundpind 2,5 mm (80 cm) til aflukning og snipper. Alternativt kan der benyttes strømpepinde str. 2,5 mm til aflukning og snipper.
