UPDATE!!!
There has been an update to the Water’s Edge Kimono pattern. The front panels starting chains have been adjusted to create a more consistent neck opening size. If you are making a size XL or 2XL, your numbers are correct, however, if you are making any of the other sizes, please consult the new pattern for accurate starting chains. The problem was that a size small had a neck opening of 35 stitches and a size 3XL had an opening of only 5 stitches. I have changed it so that each size kimono has between an 11 - 17 stitch opening. I’m incredibly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me!

The Water’s Edge Kimono is the perfect layering piece for your seasonal wardrobe! You can wear a long sleeved blouse or top under it when the temperatures are mild or a tank top when it’s warmer. Instructions are given for sizes S - 3XL. You will need anywhere from 4 - 6 skeins that are 6 oz. each depending on the size you choose to make. More information is in the pattern. (For some reason, it wouldn’t let me put in the correct yardage above.)

It is designed to be over-sized and super roomy. The model in the photo above is a size XL and the kimono she is wearing is a size 2XL.

The Kimono has an intermediate level stitch pattern, although the construction is easy. It’s made up of three rectangular panels that are seamed together. There is no shaping, increasing or decreasing. A trim of 5 rows of single crochets around the armholes and main body of the kimono finish off the project.

Two step-by-step photo tutorials are included with your purchase in three separate PDF’s so that you have the option to print them or not.

You will need an H and J crochet hook and any size 4 medium weight yarn.
