Weekend Trip is a two color cabled beanie made for weekend trips, campfires, forest hikes, and city walks days. It is a fast and easy project that can be finished on a weekend. It uses just 200 yards of Aran weight yarn in two colors (but it will look great in just one color too).

Weekend Trip features a thick, folded brim that can be adjusted to cover the ears on extra chilly days. The hat body is covered with deep and squishy cables that look gorgeous but are easy to do. The crown decreases are blended in the pattern, working seamlessly to the end. For a perfect fluffy pom-pom, I finish it with a pet brush, brushing the fiber to make it more dense (but the pom-pom and the brushing are optional).

The cable pattern is both charted and written.
