✿ The acorn bowl everyone picks up and turns over.
Most crochet acorns are a cap, a nut and a lot of sewing. These are worked in one piece, stem and all, with nothing to sew and nothing to assemble. The Wheat Stitch™ cap gives them that braided texture people can’t keep their hands off.
Make all three sizes and fill a bowl. Pick a palette that sits out from July through January, or go full Woodland Christmas with no red at all.
▶️ Watch them come together on YouTube
✨ What makes it work
- One piece, no sewing. Start at the tip of the stem and work down. The cap flares out and the nut grows underneath.
- Same stitch counts every size. Want a bigger or smaller acorn? Change your yarn and hook, not the pattern.
- Six colorways included. Full palettes and the thinking behind each one.
- Optional weighted bottom. Add poly pellets or dried beans so they sit pretty.
- You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.
