☾ A cable this pretty deserves a front row seat

I fell in love with this cable when I designed the Valencia Sweater, so I set it on a background of single crochet and turned it into an earwarmer. The results are so fun.

The cable is worked with Infinity Crochet stitches, a clever method that makes crochet cables look crisp and polished. Add a little leather tag and it looks like it came from a boutique.

✨ What makes it work

• One standout cable. The Valencia cable sits front and center on a single crochet band.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Whims Merino, Furls (DK weight 3), approx. 170 yds (155 m). Color shown: Light Grey.
• Hook: G (4.0mm)
• Tools: Yarn Needle · Scissors
• To finish like the sample: 3” x 1” leather tag or embellishment

• Size: Adult, brim stretches to fit 19” to 23” heads. Band is approx. 3.75” wide.
• Skill level: Intermediate
• Special stitches: Infinity Crochet front float stitches (FF2DC, FF2TR, FF2DTR), explained in the pattern
• Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4” x 4” in single crochet · gauge help
