Whippet and Greyhound Snood
Whippet and Greyhound Snoods
Snood is made in three parts: neck cuff, body, and face cuff, using a 5.0 mm hook and worsted weight yarn in one or more colours (samples shown use two colours). Post stitches should bump out to the same side as the stitch they are building on to create ribs.
If you choose to use a starting chain instead of FSC, check to make sure the cuff is not too tight before moving on to the body. Go up a hook size for the chain if necessary to make sure your chain can stretch with the ribbing.
Sample shows white neck with red body and face cuff (Lion Brand Pound of Love, White and Cherry), or cream neck with green body and face cuff (Lion Brand Pound of Love, Antique White; Tent Sale, Forest). Pompoms made with the same yarn as neck cuffs (3.5 cm pompom maker). For a matching hat for yourself using the same yarns, please see my “Ivory Gull” pattern on Ravelry.
