Whiskey in a Teacup
Description:
Whiskey in a Teacup is a two-skein shawl, that has been a real adventure for me. From the moment that I saw this skein of Big Sky Yarn Co. colorway (Tennessee Whiskey) I knew I just had to make something from it! The design was intended to be a cowl, however, once I started on making a swatch, I knew it needed to be a shawl.
I wanted to come up with a design that was lacy, but not too frilly. One that looked soft, but not too delicate. And I feel like I hit my mark with it.
I decided to name the shawl Whiskey in a Teacup not only to honor the gorgeous yarn that it was knit up in, but also the design. The warmth and sturdiness of the garter ridges along with the soft lace lets this shawl live up to its name.

Notes:
There are is no set gauge in this pattern, this is a two-three skein shawl that uses fingering
weight yarn and a size US4/3.50mm needles. If you have rather loose tension, you may use more yarn than I did. You should weigh your yarn and adjust your yardage based on the actual weight. You may need three skeins to complete the pattern.
The measurements are approximations, you may have more or less inches than I do according to your tension.
Wingtip to wingtip: 80”
Top center to bottom point: 25”
I used two skeins of Big Sky Yarn Co. yarn on their Star Sock base, which is a 75/25 merino wool and nylon blend in the colorway Tennessee Whiskey.
