This pattern is part of the Amigurumi Wildlife Adventure eBook, a brand new collection of original crochet patterns from the hooks of Ilaria Caliri and Irene Strange!

The Amigurumi Wildlife Adventure introduces some of the wonderful, unique and endangered creatures from the different corners of our planet. There are 12 creatures to make, with a mixture of land and sea animals and other wild things.

The pygmy sloth are the smallest of the three-toed sloths! To recreate the mossy fur of their coats we held cotton together with mohair, giving the amigurumi a soft fluffy halo.

The pattern is written in US crochet terms, with plenty of step-by-step images to guide you along the way.

The project can be made with your preferred yarn, all the samples were made in DK-weight cotton with a 3.0mm hook.
