This is a written pattern for a windspinner in the shape of a bird.
The pattern includes several pictures to show how it should look like.

For this windspinner I used acrylic yarn: Stylecraft Special dk or similar, which is about 300 meter/328 yards per 100 gram.
I used hooksize 3.0
You need about 34 meters/ 37 yards of yarn in one color, a contrasting color for the beak and for the paws, and black or another dark color for the eyes.

Other materials needed:
-Stuffing
-A thread or cord for hanging the windspinner: nylon-thread or just a piece of yarn

My finished windspinner was about 17 cm/6.7 inches wide and 8.5 cm/3.35 inches tall, not counting the tail.

The level is advanced beginner. You should be familiar with frontpost and backpost crochet stitches.

• foundation chain / (half) i-cord (you can use chainstitches instead)
• ch = chainstitch
• slst = slipstitch
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• fpdc / bpdc = frontpost double crochet / backpost double crochet
• incr = increase
• decr = decrease
• flo = in frontloop only
• blo = in backloop only
