Windspinner Snow
This is a written pattern for a wind spinner.
The pattern includes only a few pictures so you should be able to follow written crochet patterns.
The level is intermediate.
The following stitches and (US-)terms are used in this pattern:
- foundation chain
- ch = chainstitch
- sc = single crochet
- slst = slipstitch
- yoslst = yarnover slipstitch
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- trc = treble crochet
- dtrc = double treble crochet
- incr = increase
- decr = decrease
- flo = frontloop only
For this windspinner I used acrylic yarn (Stylecraft Special dk or Scheepjes colourcrafter) which is 295 m/322 yards per 100 gram, and hooksize 3.5 .
I needed about 95 meters/104 yards of yarn, in 4 different colors.
My windspinner was about 24 cm/9.45 inches long and 9 cm/3.54 inches wide.
You can use other yarn if you like. The spinner can be bigger or smaller in that case.
Other materials you need:
-A small weight to hang under the windspinner
-A thread for hanging the windspinner. You can use nylon thread, but you can also just use a single string of the yarn you used for the windspinner itself.
