Material
Organic merino DK from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is 100% Organic merino wool. Approx 225m/100g in each skein. Wonderful and soft base to work with.
Organic merino: 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 (4)
Circular needle 4 mm in 40 & 80 cm for body and sleeve
2 x DPN 4 mm for laces
Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends
Stitch markers
1 x keeping cord or scrap yarn
Tension gauge swatch
Make sure to check your tension by creating a gauge swatch before starting your knit. Cast on 22 stitches and knit 29 rows in ; k 3 sts, p 3 sts* with 4 mm needles, wash and block the sample for a 10 x 10 cm swatch. Everyone’s tension is different, so if your tension is too tight and your gauge swatch measures too little, change to a thicker needle. If your tension is too loose and your gauge swatch is too wide, change to a thinner needle.
Good to know
The sweater is knitted from top down in the raglan style. The sweater is mostly knitted back and forth, except for the sleeves that are knitted in round. The laces are knitted with i-cord technique and stitched onto the sweater. You will have an option on making the wrap me sweater into a one sleeve style or adding holes that makes it possible to make another one, so the two styles can be tied together.
The yarn quantity required is based on the average, and is therefore an approximate number.
