These little bags for holding centre-pull cakes of yarn, are an easy and addictive knit. They can be made in almost any size so you can make smaller ones to hold those partially used skeins, or as large as you like to hold arran, DK or chunky. The largest one that I made, only used a total of one ounce of yarn, so it is an ideal way of using up colourful bits and bobs left over from other projects.

Gauge is not too important in this project as one can easily make the bags larger or smaller, and even the smallest size is quite stretchy and will accommodate quite a reasonable sized centre-pull ball.

The pattern is easily memorized so it is a good travel, or knit and natter project. The small bag can be made in a day. I want to make one for each of the semi used balls of yarn in my stash!
