This book is intended for the beginning Passap knitter and it’s goal, according to the introduction is “to help you become independent - to develop expertise in the use of the machine - to be confident to experiment - to use the ideas presented here as a starting point for knitting.”
The book contains two sections - knitting lessons and reference information about the machine. The first eight knitting lessons introduce the knitter to the operations of the machine and are very clear patterns with extensive note sections. The patterns are the ribbed hat, the hat and scarf in honeycomb stripe, the baby raglan, the crew neck sweater, baby pants, the sock, mittens, and the fairisle hat. The next three knitting lessons focus on gauge and patternmaking: the test square, the skirt, and the vest.
