Using Jorstad Creek Whidbey with this pattern works quite well. Whidbey has a lot of body and creates a raised ridge easily.

The pattern has options for the depth of the cowl and the size of the neck. This version has some additional depth and no change to the neckline.

Since the cowl only takes half a skein, you can knit one for you and one for a friend.

I really like the flow of this pattern. In fact, I have two more in progress!
