Notes

This is a fun and simple cowl. This yarn from Spincycle is dyed before the strands are plied, so the color changes are a surprise.

I’ve tried a number of different ways to block cowls made with this pattern. I took Laura Nelkin’s Craftsy class on cowls and she demonstrated blocking a cowl around a towel. I found that a variation of this process worked well for my spiral cowl.

I chose the pattern variation with a decrease that brings the top edge in closer to the neck. I was concerned that it was too tight but the diameter of the towel was big enough to block out the decrease - entirely. Maybe a bit too big now.
