Notes

This was originally cast on as a cot blanket but then I had the idea for the sampler baby blanket and put this to one side for a few years.

Double moss (seed) is my favourite stitch and it’s so classy in a single ply yarn like cocoon. This blanket is nice and heavy and I use it on the sofa because my son is not at all interested in having it on his bed. It might’ve been better knit in ‘landscape’ rather than ‘portrait’ as the pattern just flows better in rows and is more comfortable when worn with the long side across my legs.

Given I know the stitch well I didn’t really follow the pattern but just cast on as many stitches as looked right to go across a cot (60) and kept knitting till I got bored and ran out of yarn. Approx 85 x 105 cm.
