2018-2021 Stash-down Blanket Extravaganza

I’m still trying to get shot of the stash-down yarn.

I thought I would make another one of these blankets using mainly red, burgundy, pink, green, beige and joining with cream.

I still have three big boxes of this yarn to use up. My daughter Libby was meant to be helping me, as half of the yarn was hers, but I think I’m on my own now slightly_smiling_face

I’ve made 27 blankets/throws and she has made 2 or 3 so 30 in total. Not too bad.

I’m hopeful of using the remainder of the yarn up this year, but I have said that each year since 2018, so we will see.

Enjoyed making this blanket. I like the colours and I think I will keep it for myself.

So handy for using in the garden when the family visit as we aren’t allowed visitors indoors yet.

I think I’m going to make another blanket using these colours, as I still have a lot left.

I used BunnyMummy’s technique on the 1st round of the border to avoid a ruffly edge. You can find it here.

I used the JAYG method for joining the squares. A great tutorial being here

Border:

I used Border Pattern No: 93 of Eddie Eckman’s Around The Corner Crochet Borders.

I think it finishes the blanket off very nicely. It gives a nice feminine look.
