09/28/2011> Done! Maybe the best socks I’ve ever knit. So satisfying! Knitting with the Fiber Optic Yarns Foot Notes made me tingle: the color has a positively electric vibration while the yarn is fluffy and firm at the same time. A lovely experience despite the many times I ripped the leg to get the keys to work out right.

09/24/2011> I’m adding piano keys to the leg of the sock. Started doing some stranded intarsia stuff for the sharp/flat keys, but my floats are insufficiently elastic for the sock function. Boo. I’m I’m about to rip out the blue and just make textural orange keys.
