This top was inspired by my trip to Greece. Ever since I was a kid, I knew I had to go to Mykonos someday. In my adventurous 20’s I made my way there. What a great experience. The Greek Isles are gorgeous.

I was inspired to design a reversible backpack for my son’s friend, Patty. I wanted to make her one of my bags but she couldn’t decide between the reversible drawstring bag and the backpack. I decided to designed a bag that combined the two.

This bag is reversible. It has a diamond intarsia pattern on one side and a bobble stitch done in a diamond pattern on the other.

Koigu is a beautiful yarn that can be worked on a range of hook sizes. When it’s worked on a small hook, as I did in this pattern, it creates a wonderfully dense fabric that resembles a tapestry.

The bag is worked in the round. The beaded strips are worked separately and joined at the base and the top of the bag.

This crochet bag is reversible. It’s polka dot on one side and stripe on the other. The two drawstrings have a 16 inch drop. The base of the bag has a 7 inch diameter and a height of 9 inches before the top eyelets for the drawstrings. The total height is 10 inches.
