Knitting: Ankle Sock
These short socks were born out of a summertime desire to knit colorwork that I wouldn’t have to wait until colder weather to wear. The colorwork pattern in the ribbing provides more stretch than a traditional corrugated rib. The Latvian braid aims to provide some stability in the fabric around the ankle in an effort to avoid the sock disappear...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This design was inspired by the slinky, snake-like movements of one of my favorite dancers, whose style I aspire to emulate in my own dance practice. The picot hem crowns the undulating, serpentine lace columns of these cuff-down socks. Optional beads on the leg highlight the mesmerizing twists and turns of the serpent’s dance. The lace on the ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Underbrush is a simple rectangular lace wrap whose loose gauge will work with anything from laceweight to sport weight yarn. The undulating, organic lace chart is easy to memorize and a comfort to knit. While instructions are given for a single size, it would be easy to modify the cast on amount and length to achieve a wide range of sizes.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Knit from the toe up with an afterthought heel and optional gusset for high insteps, Waves and Wires are a great way to use those larger sock leftovers you have lying around. Choose two yarns with high contrast to make a statement with these fun chevron socks, or go for lower contrast for a pretty, subtle effect. This pattern would also look gr...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks are a fun way to use up some of your smaller sock scraps. They are knit from the cuff down and feature a two-color heel flap that is cleverly designed not to require any stranding on the purl side. You will manage floats with the ladderback jacquard method during the gusset to maintain the horizontal stripes without interruption. Th...
Knitting: Cowl
With longer shipping times and not being able to go to my favorite brick and mortar stores, I’ve been in the mindset to make do with what I have as much as possible. I think that’s why, during this period of self isolation, I have been reaching for leftovers in my stash much more often than new skeins, which is how this pattern came about.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Cabled socks are popular amongst my friends and family, but I find that non-knitters tend to struggle with the extra effort required to pull a handknit well-fitting all-over cabled sock over their heels. I designed these socks to solve that problem. The cable running down the front of the sock satisfies my desire to knit yummy cables for my lov...

The Coziest Cabled Socks are knit from the cuff down with a classic heel flap and gusset. A cozy cabled pattern hugs the leg, while simple knits and purls on the foot prevent any uncomfortable lumps in your shoes. These socks are a gentle introduction to brioche in the round and basic brioche increases. The brioche blocks are checkered with striped blocks of Stockinette stitch, helping avoid brioche’s typical compressed row gauge. These socks are worked cuff down with a Fleegle heel and a wedge toe. The socks pictured above have had their colors reversed...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These cuff-down socks featuring an afterthought heel are a modern take on traditional Fair Isle motifs from Traditional Fair Isle Knitting by Sheila McGregor. The name is inspired by my time spent knitting these socks by the pool on vacation in Mexico.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This stitch pattern, reminiscent of a flock of birds in flight on a summer day, adds just enough interest to an otherwise mindless, relaxing pattern, perfect for speckled, tonal, or lightly variegated yarns. These socks are worked toe up with a star toe and a short row heel. Patterning is only on the instep and the front of the leg, leaving ple...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts, knit seamlessly in the round, are a quick and fun introduction to brioche knitting, which produces a thick squishy fabric. Slight negative ease causes them to hug your hands, perfect for chilly fall days, while a stockinette thumb reduces bulk where you want it least.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Take off on your next adventure with these toe-up socks incorporating traditional Bavarian traveling stitches in modern motifs. These socks come in three sizes and include a high-instep modification for adding a gusset and heel flap to the short row heel. Ribbing makes these socks stretchy yet snug.

Cluaran is a crescent-shaped shawlette knit from the top down. It consists of three sections: a stockinette body, a lace body, and a lace edging.
