Crochet: Stocking
This is a pattern explaining how to crochet a long stocking cap starting at the tip and ending at the head, with shaping and striped color pattern work to look like Schwartz’s, also known as Flick’s, hat in the movie A Christmas Story. The hat is crochet in rows, not a spiral, due to the striped color pattern. This pattern is available for free...
Crochet: Purse / Handbag
This is a pattern to crochet a round purse with a spiral pattern in a continuous spiral. It is simply constructed, with two round sides, one long crochet loop that comprises both the base and the strap, and a zipper closure with two small flat pieces to attach the zipper to the purse. The zipper closure is optional and may be modified to meet t...
Crochet: Animal Toy
This is a pattern to crochet your own Pocket Pony. The pattern is fairly simple and would make a good project for a beginner to try. The Pocket Pony is so cute that little mistakes would only add to its character!
Crochet: Animal Toy
This pattern describes how to crochet a leaf sheep sea slug out of crochet thread and craft thread.
Crochet: Baby Blanket
This simple pattern describes how to make an easy blanket in three sizes, baby, child, and throw/adult, in a pattern with big holes that are perfect for little fingers and toes to wind through, which can be soothing.
Crochet: Wall Hanging
This pattern describes how to make a display holder for keychains or any other small objects that could be hung up.
Crochet: Toy Plant
This is a pattern to make a small, round crochet cactus. Unlike most cactus patterns I found, this one is crochet in a spiral, with the “ridges” formed from the wrong side loops of half-double crochet. I also included a short, simple pattern for making the dirt/sand at the bottom of a dish.
Crochet: Toy Food
This pattern tells you how to make my favorite types of sushi in a slightly-larger-than-life size that’s safe for toddlers and young children. It includes instructions for tamago, salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, cucumber maki, avocado maki, sweet potato maki, and molokai purple sweet potato maki. You can substitute your own colors to make your own ...
Crochet: Baby Blanket
This is a pattern for a long, thin baby blanket with an open, “hole-y” style, meant for small children to be able to twine their fingers in, which can be soothing for them.
Crochet: Electronics Cozy
This is a modification of my previous cell phone cozy pattern. It has been adapted to fit a larger phone (iPhone 7 Plus) and to be more of a purse-style cozy, with a shoulder strap and a more secure buttoned flap closure.
Crochet: Electronics Cozy
This is a simple cell phone cozy pattern. You’ll be measuring the phone (or Kindle, iPad, etc.) and crocheting the cozy to fit. This is a great project for scrap yarn. I did not measure yardage or gauge as neither were important to the pattern.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This is a super simple hat pattern, based on a hat I made freehand when I first learned to crochet. This would be a great project for a beginner who wants to practice crocheting in a spiral with bulky yarn. The pattern now includes four size options--I added a Toddler size in January 2020. I did not measure gauge or yardage, but I used a bit le...
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This is a cute and easy baby hat, based on my favorite newborn hat pattern, but enlarged to fit a slightly larger baby, and modified to add holiday elements (a contrasting color border, and a pom-pom). I did not measure gauge or yardage.
Crochet: Toys and Hobbies - Other
This pattern is for my version of the classic F-bomb. Please be aware of the “mature” content of the double meaning of its name. I did not measure yardage or gauge.
Crochet: Bookmark
This is a fairly simple pattern to make a nice little gift that would be great for a teacher gift for Teacher Appreciation Week or as an end-of-the-school-year gift. I used worsted weight yarn, but a lighter or thinner yarn could easily be substituted to produce a smaller apple. I did not measure yardage or gauge.
Crochet: Blanket - Other
This cute little bear lovey can be made in different colors to match the choice of its new owner. This pattern was adapted from several existing patterns I tried which yielded bears that looked more like piggies--they were cute too, but they were not the pink bear that had been requested.
