Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The Olympia Twins are cuff-down socks featuring a stripe pattern with very few rounds of stranded colourwork, so it’s a lot less likely (I dare say impossible!) you will end up with a sock that doesn’t fit. The pattern is easy to remember, so you can bring this project wherever you go.

Designing always brings its lot of unexpected. This sock pattern is really not what it was supposed to be! I had in mind a different cuff, a slightly different heel and the little “trident” detail was a on-the-spot decision. Obviously, they had a totally different name also!

Laurian was my mother’s father. He was a proud Beauceron, i.e. an inhabitant of the Beauce region in Quebec, Canada. Laurian is also the name that Amélie from Émilia & Philomène gave the gray colourway I used to design this sweater. A gray that reminded me of the many suits I’ve seen my grandfather wear.

The Montrealer was inspired by the city that has been my home for the last 7 years: Montreal. It reminds of a summer’s pink sunset in between the buildings and skyscrapers of the city.
