Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is the December 2023 mystery sock for the SolidSocks group. Clues will be released on December 1, 8, 15, and 22.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is the second in a series of sock patterns designed for knitting on the train. This one is admittedly more complex than I had originally envisioned, but I really like how it turned out. If commuting with 5 balls of yarn and following a cable chart isn’t your cup of tea, there are options provided within the pattern for making things a bit ...

Transmutation, in alchemy, is the conversion of base metals into gold or silver. More generally, it is used to describe a change to a higher form - for example, leftover sock yarns turning into a pretty pair of scrappy socks.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is an asymmetric garter stitch shawl, with a mosaic “cable” band that adds an elegant accent - and makes it look much harder than it actually is! The main body of the shawl is an 8-row repeat, and the only stitches required are knit, slip, kfb, and ssk. Instructions are charted, written, and also provided in a convenient shorthand form tha...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is the round 4 pattern of Sock Madness 17, and is now available to the general public. Happy knitting!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is the first in a series of sock patterns that I consider to be ideal for knitting on the train. Simple, but not boring; some variety, some repetition; with charts that are easy to follow and easy to memorize.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I wanted to take a classic cable stitch pattern and put a twist on it - and this is the result! These moss stitch diamonds are unexpectedly askew, making for some fun cable knitting.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern was originally part of the 2022 Supersock World Championship. Now that the competition has ended, it is available for purchase.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Mosaic knitting is my favourite technique - it looks complicated, but is actually so simple to do! You only work with one colour at a time, and the only stitches are knits, purls, and slipped stitches.

Love hurts, love scars
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Park Gate is a stranded colourwork sock with no long floats (all floats are 5 stitches or fewer). There is a bit of texture on the foot, and all the colourwork is restricted to areas with no shaping. This means that it’s way easier than it looks!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock features a simple mosaic pattern that reminds me of the many blibbities and blobbities (these are undoubtedly the proper technical terms) on a circuit board.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern was originally published in Sock Madness 15 and is now available to the public.

Somebody has eaten all the red herrings, leaving behind only their bones and an arsenal of cutlery. The culprit must still be somewhere around… can you figure out whodunnit?
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Inspired by one of Johnny Cash’s most famous songs, this pattern features a cable panel that looks like a chain-link fence. The ribbing on the back of the leg represents prison bars, and also provides the necessary added stretch for a heavily cabled sock.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
As a person who loves all things plaid, I needed a pair of plaid socks!

Smoky Mountain rain, it keeps on fallin’
Crochet: Scarf
This is a simple, beginner-friendly scarf that works up quickly and looks great! The subtle texture adds a bit of interest without distracting from the beautiful gradual colour changes of the Scarfie yarn.
Crochet: Animal Toy
This chubby little chicken is super quick and easy to make! Feel free to use whatever yarn you have on hand. I bet he would look great in other colour combinations too!
Crochet: Animal Toy
This little sheep was inspired by Bernat Pipsqueak yarn. It’s incredibly soft and fuzzy, but incredibly tricky to work with! Luckily, this sheep can be made in an hour or two and uses very little yarn, so before you dedicate your time and sanity to making a whole blanket out of Pipsqueak, give this cute little guy a try first. Who knows, maybe ...
Crochet: Softies - Other
I designed this cute little minion as a gift for a friend. He is 7” tall and 3” wide (the minion, not the friend!).
