The Southwold is a bottom-up design, knitted in either one or two colours. The main section of the vest, uses the simple and subtle Dot Stitch Pattern. The Dot Stitch design was the inspiration for the pattern name, as it reminded me of the pebbled beach at the Southwold of my childhood (on the Suffolk coast).

We used Gorgeous Alpaca DK weight alpaca wool, which has a 21 st x 27 row gauge over 10cm. The image shown is knitted in Wine colour.
