The varsity hat is a basic stockinette hat knit in the round with a 1 x 1 rib fold-over brim. The sample was knit with Sport weight “I love this yarn” in white, orange and navy, the University of Virginia colors.

Spritzkuchen, pronounced spritz-cook’n, is a German Cruller; a deep fried, glazed choux pastry. That’s what this cowl evokes.  It’s light, fluffy and deceptively easy. It looks like Brioche but it’s not.
