I like designs that are simple and clever. I dislike seaming and sewing in a gazillion ends, so I try to design with everything “built in” and knit-as-you-go. Mostly. There are exceptions.
My first two designs -- Dido and stina were written up in order to benefit p/hop. They are available in return for a donation to MSF (Médecins sans Frontières).
If you have questions about my patterns, I suggest that you first have a look at the dedicated pattern threads in the Åsa Tricosa group. Some friendly knitter there usually has a good idea for a solution. You are most welcome to join, but you can also do a drive-by just to drop a question or to brag.

New VAT rules
(The folllowing does not concern non-EU knitters nor German knitters)
All Åsa Tricosa patterns comply with the bewildering new regulations.
As you may know Ravelry has teamed up with LoveKnitting in an attempt to keep to business as usual while also allowing designers to comply with the new rules.
EU knitters (except Germans) will be routed to LoveKnitting to complete any purchase.
This means (sorry!) that my patterns cost more for EU knitters to buy as the VAT is added on and collected by LoveKnitting. They will eventually also cost more to sell for me and all designers who have chosen to comply.
I hope you’ll continue to buy my (and other designers’) patterns via Ravelry for all the usual benefits and clever tools that Ravelry is known for – such as patterns automatically being added to your Library. (Ravelry info for EU buyers here.)
-- knit with abandon!
