I became more serious about designing knits in October 2009. I lost out on an ebay auction for a sherlock hat, which was going to be for a halloween costume. I had a giraffe sweater and decided that it wouldn’t be that hard to design a giraffe hat. After that several people in my university classes asked if I could make them animal hats, which I did. Soon after I graduated and found a job at a wool mill. I would spin yarn commercially during the day and spin on my wheel (or knit) at night.
Fast forward to January 2011. I left my job at the mill and decided that I would devote myself to writing patterns. I love designing knits and I’m looking forward to making all my ideas into a reality.
