Michelle studied for a diploma in fashion design at The London College of Fashion and did her work experience with the wonderful designer Bill Gibb. Going on to study business management. Using the two skills, working as a manager of a building society by day and still designing for private clients by night and weekends.
After a few years an opportunity arose to return to study part-time, Michelle studied for a City & Guilds Certs pts 1&2 in Crochet, C&G pts 1&2 in Machine Knitting and C&G pt1 Embroidery and C&G pts 1&2 Teaching Adults. She started teaching and also designing knitted and crocheted swatches through agents, plus continued to design and made garments and jewellery for sale.
The website NezumiWorld started in 2002 as a creative ideas textile site. The crochet part of the site was put in place first and it just got bigger & bigger and is now mainly a crochet only site (there are some hidden knitting and craft/textile stuff which may make an appearance in 2017 and an app hopefully), There so many different styles of crochet and the site continues to grow monthly.
Michelle has a few patterns for sale here on Ravelry and some free ones too, look out for more coming soon.
