I learned to knit as a young child, and before I came to Ravelry I wasn’t really aware of the fact that inventing your own projects = designing ;)
I am stubborn and nitpicking about fashion, that’s why I often adapt existing designs or create my own projects.

My favourite knitting projects are sweaters/tops and gloves. I like traditional techniques and patterns, e.g. Northern European stranded colourwork, as well as vintage/retro styles from the 1930s to 1970s, and I am constantly amazed by the wide range of styles and ideas in contemporary knitwear and knitting design.

I am keen on using organic / fair trade / rare breeds / locally produced yarns, although I admit I’m not totally consistent about this. My all-time favourite yarn is Shetland wool.

My free patterns are not all edited to a very professional standard, but hopefully they are error free and comprehensible. The patterns for sale have been tech edited and test knitted. If you encounter a problem with any of the patterns, don’t hesitate to contact me for help.
