I also design hand knits and write patterns for hand knitting which I really find drives my creative side and compliments classes and workshops. My first pattern ‘OisinOwl’ became a best seller on the day that it was published on Ravelry, which was very exciting. I have also been published by Knit magazine in the UK.This represents a career change for me as I previously formulated skincare products and toiletries as Company Chemist for Nectar Cosmetics and as an award winning entrepreneur when I created ‘Irish Rain’ eau de parfum and launched L’aura Ireland Ltd.
My design influences are many. I find nature, landscape, seascape, art, fashion history, folklore and myth all sources of inspiration.
