With the launch of a new pair of socks coming up in a few days, a sweater close on their heels (pun intended!) and two patterns in a new book series from Cooperative Press, I am on a roll!

I celebrated the new year and decade by setting up a store here on Ravelry to sell some patterns I have come up with over the years. I wrestled with the idea of selling vs offering free patterns. I came to the conclusion that we have to start somewhere in the mission to give indy designers the support they/we need. I have worked long and hard in writing out these patterns, and I stand by each one of them. I have written them out in detail to make it easy to follow. I have had them tested and edited by other crocheters. I have learned computer skills. I believe all these things are worth something. I am offering these patterns up for a pittance. I hope to inspire more “unknowns” out there to start asking for a little compensation for their hard work and valuable skills. I believe this can raise the standards for quality and boost confidence in ourselves … as well as provide extra cash for more chocolate! ;) Thanks for listening to my thoughts on this subject! I know I am a fledgling designer, and that is why I started my prices so low. I hope to hone my skills and be able to offer shiny top notch patterns with charts and bells and whistles when I grow up.

I am happy to report that I have patterns available in both English and French, thanks to Nathalie Mainsant, nathalierevel , who is the translator. All of the patterns are in English unless otherwise specified.
Je suis heureuse de vous annoncer que certains de mes modèles sont disponibles à la fois en Anglais et en Français.
Merci à Nathalie Mainsant, nathalierevel, qui réalise les traductions.
