Susan Lund

I learned to knit in 2003 at an after-school knitting club that was starting up in the high school I was teaching in at the time. The instructor started us off with a pair of simple mittens, knit in bulky yarn on US10.5 dpns. I fell head-over-heels in love on the spot, and by the time I finished my first project, there was no turning back.

I carry my knitting with me almost everywhere, and have a major weakness for lace, shawls, and fingerless mitts. Only my Kindle saved me from being squeezed out of my home by my books, and the size of my stash generated raised eyebrows and startled expressions from the movers when I moved a few months ago (after they got their breath back from hauling all my boxes of books down a couple flights of stairs…). In addition to my obsessive love for knitting and reading (though not usually at the same time) I have a passion for anime. And tea. And knitting while watching anime and drinking tea…

Knitting is many things to many people, but utterly, infuriatingly, tooth-gnashingly, hair-pullingly impossible really shouldn’t be one of them. If you run into a problem with or find a mistake in one of my patterns, please let me know!!!
