Vithard Villumsen

Vithard Villumsen

The story the yarn tells when forming the stitch is filled with traditions. It is filled with images of how people have been knitting for a long, long time and when using this tradition in a modern context great things can come out of it.

I am in love with traditional scandinavian patterns. I love the way that simple looking geometric shapes accentuated by different colours or different knitting techniques can make such beauty and tell so many stories.

Ever since my first knitting project as a 10 year old I have been mesmerized by the structures you can make when working with the yarn and the needles.
