Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Fall 2007: “A solid shawl-collared bib that extends into kangaroo pockets formed by a double fabric suits up nicely against a background of men’s-wear-inspired pinstripes, achieved with a slipped garter stitch. Shown in Patons’ ‘Classic Merino Wool,’ it’s designed by Mari Lynn Patrick.”

“Loose-fitting tunic pullover in slipped garter stripes with gathered back pleat, fold under ribbed front pocket and shawl collar.”

  • Small (Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large)
  • Bust 42 (44, 47, 49, 52)”/106.5 (111.5, 119, 124.5, 132)cm
  • Length: 28¼ (28¾, 29¼, 29¾, 30¼)”/72 (73, 74.5, 75.5, 77)cm

Materials:

  • 6 (6, 7, 7, 8) 3½oz/100g balls (each approx 223yd/205m) of Patons Classic Merino Wool (wool) in #225 dark grey mix (A)
  • 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) balls in #77115 new denim (B)
  • 2 balls in #228 dark natural mix (C)
  • One pair each sizes 5, 6, and 9 (3.75, 4 and 5.5mm) needles or sizes to obtain gauges
  • Crochet hook size C/2 (2.75mm)
  • Three 1¾”/34mm buttons in black (La Mode style 20933)
  • Stitch holders
