Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2007: “A sleeker, smoother variation on the designer’s typically chunky style uses four strands of Twinkle Handknit Yarns/Classic Elite Yarns’ ‘Cruise’ held together. The body of the cropped A-line cardigan features a chevron pattern wrought in eyelets.”

“Loose-fitting cropped cardigan with eyelet chevron patterned body, stockinette stitch bodice and short sleeves. Designed by Twinkle. Sized for Small, Medium, Large. Shown in size Medium on page 88.”

  • Small (Medium, Large)
  • Bust (buttoned): 42 (45, 49)”/106.5 (117, 127)cm
  • Length: 17 (18½, 20)”/43 (47, 51)cm
  • Upper arm: 12 (13½, 15)”/30.5 (34, 38)cm

Materials:

  • 6 (7, 9) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 120yd/108m) of Twinkle by Wenlan/Classic Elite Yarns Cruise (silk/cotton) in #47 pale lavender (A)
  • 3 balls in #42 nave (B)
  • 2 (3, 3) balls in #41 peanut (C)
  • One pair size 13 (9mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
  • Two cable needles or dpn
  • Stitch holders
  • Four 1”/25mm buttons

Additional Gauge: 10 sts and 16 rows = 4”/10cm over chart pat using size 13 (9mm) needles and 4 strands of yarn held together.
