UPDATE:
As of April 2019, this pattern has been discontinued.

I’ve added a hand drawn chart/graph/diagram of how to make the point (the first 12 rows) for those who are more visual.

Get your crochet hooks out! This shawl makes for a trendy, year-round project and works with just about any type of yarn you might have sitting around.

The lacy stitch pattern makes it a perfect spring/fall shawl. The pattern is written to make it very easy to adjust the length of the shawl, so you can very easily turn this into a fringed scarf of beach cover up as well.

I’ve had the pattern tested by a number of different crocheters and will list it on Ravelry so that you can share your work and see what others have created.

What You’ll Need:

I recommend planning to use about 2 standard skeins of your favorite yarn. Actual yardage will vary depending on how long you would like your shawl to and the weight of your yarn. My DK/worsted weight shawls used about 250-300 meters / 275 - 330 yards. To make the same length shawl in Fine / Sport weight yarn used about 450 meters / 500 yards. I always recommend having extra, just in case.

Skill Level:

This pattern is approximately intermediate level. The individual stitches are very basic, but the stitch pattern requires attention to detail, so it may be a little tricky for beginners. If you’ve made a few projects before and want to try something fun and new, this would probably be a good fit for you.

Language and Terms:

The pattern is written in English and uses standard American crochet terms. A list of stitch abbreviations is included in the pattern.

Construction:

The shawl is worked as one piece, so you won’t have any sewing or joins to worry about. Fringe is optional. I have included instructions for a no-fringe version too.

Other Pattern Features:

  • step-by-step instructions for each round
  • sample photos of 3 finished shawls
  • stitch abbreviations

Pattern Support:

I fully support all of my patterns, so if you have any trouble along the way, simply message me, and I would be more than happy to assist you. Please note that the best way to message me is through Etsy, as I don’t get notifications for message on Ravelry or Craftsy.
