This earwarmer is designed for outdoor warmth. I wear mine to walk the dog and any other outdoor activities.

Gauge is not important to this pattern. Size depends upon measurement of the head of the person for whom it is knitted.

My head is approximately 21”. The sample headband in the photo is 99 rows or 9 cable repeats & fits my head. This size will also stretch to fit up to 24” head.

Kitchener stitch (grafting) is essential to this design to have a continuous cable around the earwarmer without worrying about a front & back.
