For the bonnet and coat you will need 2½ ounces of 4-ply knitting yarn, a small ball of brush wool, two No. 9 needles, a small piece of millinery wire, four small pearl buttons and one yard of narrow ribbon.

For the frock 1½ ounces of 3-ply knitting yarn, five tiny pearl buttons, a steel crochet hook (No. 1 size) and one yard of ribbon (this is for the sash).

Then the singlet, modesties and socks will take 1½ ounces of 2-ply knitting yarn, ¾ yard, of narrow ribbon, a small piece of elastic, and you will want two No. 9 needles and a pair of No. 14 steel knitting needles.

The directions given here will make garments 14 inches in length.
