With the release of Starz’s adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s book, Outlander/Crossstitch, there has been a huge interest in the knit wear seen in videos, stills, and promotional shots. I am trying my hand at a written version of what I see on Claire.

This pattern is inspired by the caplet that we see Claire wearing during the Boar Hunt in Episode 104. There are 3 options for the tie closures as well as 2 different needle size options. One for US size 17 needles and one for the US size 35 needles.

Stitches used are:
CO - Cast On
pm- Place Marker
SSK - slip, slip, knit these 2 stitches together—a decrease
K2tog - knit 2 stitches together -- a decrease
M1p - make one purl wise
M1k - make one, knit wise
kfb - knit 1 stitch in the front, then in the back. This is also called a Bar Increase
pfb - purl 1 stitch in the front, then in the back. This is also called a Bar Increase
BO - Bind Off

I hope you enjoy making this one as much as I had figuring it out for you! As always, feel free to message me if you have questions,
