Hello knitters,
Sometimes the world is a crazy place. The hectic rush to accomplish too many tasks and juggling a multitude of responsibilities can be overwhelming. It was during a moment of just such chaos that I found the inspiration for this shawl.

I wanted, and needed, to quieten my mind and find peace in the moment. I knew I would find serenity in a simple knit that required little effort, but still produced a beautiful finished garment. I listened to my heart and allowed my mind to take a back seat for a while and thus ‘A Little Piece of My Heart’ was created.

The beauty of this shawl, besides the finished piece, is in its simplicity. No counting stitches, no stitch markers, no stress.

Although the pattern does call for a fingering weight yarn, gauge is not important for this piece; it can be knit in anything you like from fingering to DK. Should you choose to go with a heavier yarn, just be sure to adjust for the difference in yardage requirements and be aware that the heavier the yarn, the larger the finished shawl will be.

I hope you find knitting this shawl as calming to the spirit as I found it for my soul.

Happy knitting,

T.J.

Shape & Measurements
This shawl is worked on the bias in a vortex shape from the narrow tip to the ruffled edge.
This shawl does take some maneuvering when blocking. Be sure to follow the curve of your decreases (one the inner curve) and allow the rest of the shawl to follow suit.
