This cabled scarf was designed for Hunt Valley Cashmere’s 8-ply cashmere yarn. The cables make it thick but the cashmere is light and soft, just the right combination for wintry wear.

The pattern was first made available in kit form in 2007. This version of the pattern has been updated, and kits with yarn and pattern are currently available from Hunt Valley Cashmere.

The scarf pictured is approximately 4.5” (11.5 cm) wide and 40” (100 cm) long unblocked, and used 3.6 ounces of 8-ply cashmere. It can be made longer by repeating the central section as often as desired.
