A Whisper of Fall is our fourth shawl in 2020. It has a unique “gull-wing” shape, which snuggles perfectly around your neck without any annoying bunching fabric. This is a LARGE shawl. Please read the section on Yarn and Needle sizes carefully.

This is an MKAL which is being hosted on my Criminal Knits…for the Serial Knitter in all of us. Group. Clues will be released on Wednesdays with 2 makeup weeks so no one has to stress about ‘keeping up’ as we work it. The first clue will be released on August 19.

Come join us for all the fun!

Materials:
Yarn: 2 skeins 100grams 480 yds each, of Wolle’s Color Changing Cotton IN 2 DIFFERENT COLORS.
It is very important that none of the colors in the two skeins are the same. Think 2 color garter stripes when determining if the skeins will work well together. You can also use 1 solid and 1 color changing, or 2 solid color skeins. I would not use variegates.
You can also stash dive and put together two other fingering weight yarns that match the above parameters as long as they have at least 480 yds each – this is important!

Needles: Size 7 40” circular needles. Note, if you are a very loose knitter, or if you have run out of yarn in any of our previous small shawl MKALs in 2020 go down a size or 2 even to a 6 or a 5. There is very little wiggle room…..

Other things:
Markers. Many markers
Dental floss or other yarn for lifelines
