This is the Acadia National Park Hat Pattern as part of the National Park Hats Collection 2 (2021). The yarn to knit this hat is available at www.kristeninstitches.com

Acadia National Park is a place I have long wanted to visit. Pretty much ever since I was a child and read the book Sarah Plain and Tall. In the book, Sarah is from Maine and tells many lovely stories about her home there and it painted a picture that I’ve never been able to get out of my mind. Thus, Acadia National Park is high on my bucket list!

The color I created to go with this hat is a mix of sea green, olive, sand, and gray. It’s an homage to the Sand Beach area of the park and plays nicely with the slipped stitch pattern in the body of that hat that reminds me of waves. Top your Acadia hat with a pom pom or leave it plain, either way, it looks great! Enjoy this visit to Acadia National park!

This hat is written for 3 sizes, S/M/L and features a beautiful slipped stitch pattern to compliment the Acadia inspired yarn color with an optional pompom. In a squishy Bulky-weight yarn, this pattern knits up quickly and easily. I hope you enjoy this trip to Acadia National Park!

Written for three sizes (Largest size is shown), you can easily make this hat for anyone in the family! Happy knitting!
