This is an easy weekend project—large needles and easy stitches make this fun to knit. I’ve knit four so far! It uses one ball of each color, so it’s good for using up odds and ends.

The all-over ribbing stitch gives lots of stretch to make one size fit a range of sizes and provide plenty of warmth. The hat is knit in the round for easy finishing and is patterned with stripes and an easy cable that does not require a cable needle. The hat has practical ear flaps which are easily and cleverly knit into the contour and a basic, rounded shape.

Both charts and written instructions are included for sizes to fit pre-teen to large adult (head circumference = 19-25”)
